Design Specifications

A conical disc, which is pedal operated, separates liquids from solid feces. The faces are dried by a combination of solar heat and air ventilation (and removed from the user to prevent contamination), while urine is lead to a soak pit.

The company is now seeking funding/investments to value-engineer the toilet, extend field trials, get an Agrément Certificate and then commercialize the product.Interview with designer (Sept 2017) The product was selected for the Green Pioneer Accelerator Program in Kenya and South Africa in 2015.
