MSR SE220 Community Chlorine Maker is a device that can generate up to 200 litres of chlorine solution in just 5 mins with the help of only salt, water, and electricity. The product is commercially available and is manufactured by Seattle-based outdoor company Mountain Safety Research(MSR) and PATH, a global health NGO remote for the functioning. The portable disinfection unit is effective in pathogen removal (bacteria, virus, protozoa).

This product works on Electrochlorination technology. Users mix salt brine, add it to the chlorine maker and push the start button. Indicator lights and sounds signal a successful completion or troubleshooting. The product requires a 12-V battery.
