Design Specifications

Design specifications include the solar panel, battery and solar lamps. The solar module is a polycrystalline silicon panel with 12 Wp of maximum power point, an aluminium frame and a 5-meter wire. The battery is Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery with 3,3 V and 12,000 mAh capacity. The 3 Sun King lamps are LED type and have 200 lumens each with various brightness settings: Turbo with 200 lumens; Normal with 100 lumens and Low with 40 lumens, all within a 360-degree ambient wide-angle spread. Both battery and lamps have LED light indicators for monitoring the system. This product comes with 3 ceiling-mounted fixed lamps with attached wall-mounted switches and a charging kit composed of USB- cable and phone adapters. Each solar lamp weighs 107 g and the control panel 450 g.

Vetted Performance Status

This Solar Home System composed of 12 Wp maximum power polycrystalline silicon panel and 3,3 V and 12000 mAh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery connected to the 3 light points, has the following running hours after a typical day of solar charging (5 kWh/m²/day): the three lights with turbo brightness setting (200 lumens each) run for 5,4 hours per day of solar charging, resulting in a total light output of 590 lumens and 3000 lumen-hours/solar-day. Within the low setting (40 lumens each) the system runs for 21 hours/day, resulting in a total of 140 lumens and 2900 lumen-hours/solar-day. 94% of the original output remains after 2.000 hours run time. Normal brightness setting not tested.

Lightning Global verified the Solar Home System Kit Quality Standards in the Shenzhen Academy of Metrology and Quality Inspection in China in the following aspects: overall durability and workmanship of the product, and battery replaceability and protection circuit.
