SHA Affordable Homes are homes built using interlocking stabilized soil block by Smart Havens Africa to meet the housing deficit needs in Uganda. There are various housing types that range from two bedrooms to four bedrooms, including sitting room, dining, kitchen and bathrooms. Each home built has access to the resources that family members need to thrive, including water, power, and proximity to career and educational opportunities. The organization ensures families have full legal ownership of the land where their home is built, so they can never be evicted.

Smart Havens Africa offers three different housing types, The first has 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining and shared bathroom, the second has 2 bedrooms with one self contained, living room, kitchen, dining and additional bathroom, the third type is a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining, 2 bathrooms and a store.  There is however no information on the floor areas  of each of the  housing types. Besides using interlocking stabilized soil blocks as the primary construction materials, the house also utilizes industrialized construction materials available in the Uganda local market such as reinforced concrete for floors and ring beams, timbers for roofings, corrugated irons sheets.
