Agri-Smart Cambodia seeks a mechanical engineer

Background
Agri-Smart, a subsidiary of Brooklyn Bridge to Cambodia (bb2c.org), is an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of subsistence farmers in Cambodia through innovation. We are looking for a full-time engineer in country. Initially, a housing stipend can be provided, but we are looking for someone to grow with our young organization into a paid leadership role.

Duties
-Work with engineering team to bring new products from concept to market
-Develop new and improve upon existing manufacturing procedures
-Source new manufacturing partners and suppliers
-Lead continuous improvement projects on existing products
-Troubleshoot and solve problems with existing product
-Make manufacturing drawings using CAD
-Develop and follow quality and safety procedures

Requirements
-Hands on experience in mechanical design or manufacturing
-Fluent English speaking with excellent writing skills
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
-Confident, organized, and good communication skills
-Self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision
-Proficient with AutoCAD drawing software or equivalent
-Proficient in basic computer skills such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
-Ability to work and travel within Cambodia

A small stipend will be provided to cover housing and living costs.
