Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard School of Public Health 2017 Summer Course: Building Design and Engineering Approaches to Airborne Infection Control
Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Division of Global Health Equity, in collaboration with the Harvard School of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Northeastern University and MASS Design Group, is pleased to offer the 2017 summer course, Building Design and Engineering Approaches to Airborne Infection Control.
The goal of this course is to build global technical capacity in the areas of architecture, engineering and health care as they relate to designing, renovating, and engineering buildings to reduce airborne transmission of infections. In addition, the course aims to increase the understanding of administrators and clinicians who employ designers and engineers. Limited to approximately 35 students, the course attracts applicants and faculty from around the world and from diverse professional, cultural, and resource-level settings. A mix of lectures, lab work, site visits, and open discussion capitalizes on faculty expertise and the rich resources of Boston's Longwood Medical Area to provide a unique and exciting training experience.
