Crop Cooler Mozambique Pilot

The Engineers without Borders – USA Service Corps is working with iDE (International Development Enterprises) to assess, design and implement a Post-Harvest Storage system.  The final system designed will give smallholder farmers in Mozambique the opportunity to safely harvest, store and transport high-value crops. Ultimately, it will give farmers access to markets to sell their crops, which will create income generation. The project team has completed the building design and is nearing completion of the cooling system and volunteers are being sought for the pilot. The goal is the completion of the 2-3 week pilot implementation in November or December 2016.
