Help coach College students to make prototypes in a Maker Lab in a reputed management institute. Candidate must be willing to work long hours but will be exposed to students, faculty and industry in this very exciting role.

Required Qualifications & Abilities:

A high level of technical knowledge of electronics and IT skills
Passionate about working in a Do-It- Yourself hands on maker space environment
Strong analysis and practical problem-solving abilities
Good verbal, written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear concepts
Ability to draw diagrams and schematics of to explain and build concepts, prototypes and final products
Knowledge of Design thinking paradigms and experience using a methodology to build – a must. Must be able to articulate the same from both a high to a detail level.
Creativity, innovation and attention to detail
Commercially aware of the industry technology , products and available services
Organisation, project management and leadership skills
Must be committed to strengthening and enriching student learning through innovative teaching and be able to simplify concepts to the level of a novice/intermediate learner
Ability to communicate and co-ordinate with others – seniors, juniors, peers,customers and management proactively in written and verbal manner
Ability to solve nebulous at first challenges so that they can be brought into concrete goals and a task based execution plan
Decent knowledge of at least one language like like C, Arduino, java and/or Python a must. Must have built at least 2 projects that can be explained in detail using knowledge.
Must have between 2 – 6 years experience in embedded systems programming
Must have at least 2 -6 years building software or hardware products
Responsibilities and Duties

Job Responsibilities:

Design, analysis and prototyping of electronic hardware and prototype products.
Helping create interesting course/workshop content that will help make learning more engaging and fun for students and enterprises
Ability to build industry specific prototypes and products catering to specified requirements in a cost and time effective manner
Be able to design prototypes, model them, prototype and test.
Active participation in building prototypes and other projects based on open source platforms such as RPI, Arduino, ESP 8266, etc.
Explore tools for prototyping and making – such as 3D printers, and other mechanical tools.
Ability to write and verbally explain high level systems requirements document as well as detail technical level specification.
Track costs associated with project design and part procurement for electronic system design
