Mozilla’s Equal Rating Innovation Challenge – submission deadline January 6 2017

Are you an engineer working on connectivity issues in public housing in New York, or an entrepreneur creating the next M-PESA in Brazil, or researcher building new digital literacy tools in China?

Mozilla’s Equal Rating Innovation Challenge is for you! The Challenge is focused on identifying creative new solutions – ranging from consumer products and mobile services to business models and infrastructure proposals – that connect the unconnected. Mozilla will award US$250,000 in funding and provide expert mentorship to bring these solutions to the market.  Learn more via this quick explainer video on YouTube

The submission deadline is fast approaching on January 6th, 2017. Apply now via a straightforward form of only about 10 questions.

Additional opportunity for those interested in acting as mentors for the semifinalist teams (they will be announced on Jan 17). If you feel up to the challenge and want to engage in a rich and meaningful mentorship journey with some great entrepreneurs, please fill out this very short form. Mentors are needed from all disciplines! The commitment ranges from 1-5 hours per week for the seven-week period between January 23 – March 10.
