Project engineer – machine design/tooling

The Engineers Without Borders-USA Research and Development Group has an ongoing project committed to finding uses for Brazil nut husks at processing plants in the Amazon jungle, and is in the process of investigating several different solutions.

We seek someone with experience in machine design, specifically for manufacturing purposes. Volunteers will be tasked with designing a device capable of cutting shirt buttons out of a round, coconut-like object. Practical welding/creation experience a huge plus.

Time Commitment: Currently projected between 6 and 12 months.
