Seeking Judges & Mentors for Student Innovation Contest by November 5th!

The Big Ideas Contest is an early-stage innovation contest that provides funding, resources, and validation to interdisciplinary teams of students with creative solutions to pressing social challenges. Since its founding in 2006, the competition has inspired over 2,000 student-led social innovation projects!

The Contest seeks judges and mentors across 8 social impact categories, including Hardware for Good. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of changemakers. Training is provided and all activities can be conducted remotely.

Opportunities to get involved:

  • Pre-proposal judge: Review ~8 proposals to identify the most innovative ideas from mid November – early December (5-6 hours total)
  • Mentor: Work directly with a team to help advance their Big Idea from late January – early March (6-10 hours total)
  • Full proposal judge: Review ~6 proposals to identify the most viable and impactful ideas from mid March – early April (6-8 hours total)
