Transform International Technical Team Lead – Volunteer

Transform International (Transform) is looking for a volunteer to lead our technical team. Although initially this is a volunteer position, but we are optimistic that within 9 months there could be funding for up to a half-time position. The successful candidate will help to build a team of volunteer subject matter experts in WaSH (water, sanitation & hygiene), agricultural development, energy efficiency and renewables.

Transform was created by a group of experienced Rotarians and development practitioners to provide a new approach to development. We believe an important driver of sustainable growth are independent regional centres, there for the long term, that are resources for communities and local organizations, providing training, capacity building, collaboration, demonstrations, and implementation. We call these centres Community Transformation Centres (CTCs). Transform links these centres together in a network, so they can help each other and share, and provides technical support, funding, and knowledge management to member centres.

Transform has received praise from a number of groups and field practitioners. We are in the process of seeking general and targeted funding, recruiting expert volunteers to assist, developing and proving our “business model” with a few selected CTCs, currently in Bolivia, Nigeria, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, Burundi, Philippines, and Papua New Guinea.
We operate as a lean virtual entity with growing impact in multiple sectors.

If you are interested in this position, please respond to this post with some background on yourself.

If you’re not interested in leading the Tech Team, but would be interested helping out from time to time with technical questions, please send us your CV/Resume, and describe the areas where you have experience or interest.
