About David Gibbs

R. David Gibbs specializes in design, engineering, installation, and project management of renewable energy systems. A founding member of Power Rockaways Resilience he was honored as a White House Champions of Change for their relief work after Hurricane Sandy. He has a background in Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Design, and is certified in various 'Green' construction methods. David continually collaborates with NGO's such as, Build.Found.Haiti, Youth Build International, The Barbuda Research Complex, and the Zayed Energy and Ecology Centre where he consults on vocational education, construction, and renewable energy projects. After assisting with post-Hurricane Maria relief efforts he co-founded the non-profit Brick-by-Brick, and continues to be involved with skill development and cultivating local entrepreneurship via sustainable technologies.
