About Mohammed Ba-Aoum
Mohammed is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg. His research focuses on improving the performance, quality, resilience, and sustainability of sociotechnical and complex adaptive systems. Methodologies that he uses include System Dynamics, Agent-Based Modeling, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), statistical methods, and data analytics. Before joining Virginia Tech, Mohammed completed dual masters at Arizona State University (ASU)( MS Industrial Engineering and an MA in Social Science) and a BS in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Also, he attained a diploma in leading new ventures from MIT, a graduate certificate in statistics, and Black Belt Six Sigma from ASU. Mohammed work as a lecturer in Industrial and Systems Engineering at KFUPM.
