About Wamuchie Colette
Consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya, with an academic background in Biomedical Engineering and 3+ years of training and application of data science across healthcare, agriculture, finance, and rural community development. At the heart of my work is a deep passion for how people can harness technology to solve problems sustainably and effectively. I think I also carry what I think of as the burden of knowledge, the belief that having the technical skills to identify and address systemic challenges comes with a genuine moral obligation to do so honestly, transparently, and in service of those most affected.

Wamuchie Colette In 3 Questions
Two things inspire me, knowledge and people. Knowledge, because every discipline I encounter opens a door I did not know existed, and brings forth questions I have found, and still find worth chasing. People, because everyone I have experienced has shaped how I think about the world, and by extension, life itself. I also think that the work I consider most worthwhile has these two embedded within it.
The technology critical to sustainable development is the one in the right hands, solving the right problem. Technology does not work in isolation, and none of them work without human capacity at the center. A more critical aspect of technology, in my opinion, is the people who will use, maintain, question, and ultimately use these tools.
