About Carren
I am a civil engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. I've had the pleasure of working in many different types of projects, through which I have become aware of many biases that are integrated into the infrastructure we provide (e.g. infrastructure that only works well for able-bodied people or infrastructure that compromises economic and environmental sustainability of a nation). I hope to build a career that keeps inclusive and sustainable development at the very forefront of all my designs and decisions.

Carren In 3 Questions
I am inspired people - I believe every person is a well of stories about their dreams, hopes and passions; about things that they have overcome etc. Listening to these stories of passion and inspiration is the quickest way to draw inspiration for my own hopes and dreams .
Empathy and the ability to connect with many different types of people. This helps me to understand different perspectives before going into any design or implementation process.
