About Benson Maina
Benson is an E4C Research Fellow 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from the University of Nairobi and is now finalizing his Master of Science in Horticulture from the same university, focusing on postharvest management and technologies. Currently he is doing research work with a team from the University of Nairobi on various postharvest tools and technologies which can be employed to curb the high losses in the fruit sub-sector in the country. He is also involved in the development of aggregation centers for smallholder farmers and equiping them with low cost cooling facilities for storage of their produce.
