Development of Student Information System in Salesforce

An Advancing Workflows project supporting BluLever Education to develop features and functions in its student information system on Salesforce. Sponsored by The Autodesk Foundation.

Project Overview

Project Description

BluLever Education works with youth from low-income households, and partners with employers to transition graduates into dignified, sustainable careers with increased earning potential. The organisation is developing its integrated Student Information System in Salesforce, aiming to map the entire student journey, including all documents and stages of the program. The unified platform will consolidate recruitment, on-campus learning, portfolios of evidence, and placement data, reducing fragmentation and enabling early-warning flags for timely learner support.

This project represents Phase Two of the development completed in the 2025 E4C Fellowship, which involved the design and development of the integrated Student Information System (SIS) on the Salesforce Platform. In 2025, Phase One concluded with the production of an initial model which is functional in its current state. This project will develop additional features and functions to be identified and developed during the current data migration phase.

Impact

This project will make BluLever’s programs more scalable and allow it to manage the student journey more smoothly, increasing the impact and ensuring it catches flags earlier on. A single comprehensive source of information regarding each of its apprentices, that can be accessed by all BluLever divisions, will allow the team to be appropriately responsive to the needs of its Apprentices and Employer Partners alike. This speaks specifically to SDG 4 (Quality Education), but also SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), as the model includes a combination of on-campus training as well as Employer-Based Learning.
