Students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Offer Consulting and Product Development Support
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign chapter of the National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE Illinois) is seeking organizations interested in partnering with student teams on technical consulting, product development and engineering projects.
Through 12-week project sessions, teams of 5–10 students with backgrounds in business, engineering and data work with partners to develop practical deliverables. Projects can include technical product development, software and hardware, CAD designs, feasibility studies, process improvement plans, prototypes, market analysis and research.
Each project begins with a planning session to define goals and deliverables, followed by regular team meetings and partner check-ins. At the end of the 12 weeks, students present and hand off the completed work.
The program is student-run, with projects available for the Fall and Spring semesters. The standard project fee is $1,000, with flexibility based on project materials and needs. Partners can also continue projects into subsequent semesters.
