Nelson Engineering’s charity run raised money for E4C

E4C would like to give special thanks to Nelson Engineering Co.and the 77 runners who raised money for our organization in Nelson’s five-kilometer race on January 24. The engineering firm on Merritt Island, Florida, hosted the charity race that delivered $641 to our cause.

The weather held out after a late start to avoid showers on race day along a track on “Space Coast,” five kilometers south of Kennedy Space Center.

Congratulations to Robert and Michelle Longstreet, who both finished first in their divisions, male and female, with times of 18:14.6 and 24:01.09 respectively.

This is the first time Nelson Engineering has held a race to donate to a charitable organization and we’re grateful to be involved with them from the beginning.

5k… 77 runners… $641… Thank you!

The firm found us through our work online and contacted us with the idea for the fund raiser. A little about Nelson: the firm does work a mix of engineering disciplines, including chemical, civil, mechanical, aerospace, environmental and others. Projects have been as far flung as Mumbai, Russia, South Africa and elsewhere.

Thank you, Nelson Engineering, for this thoughtful gift.
