“Detecting Hidden Underground Utilities for Safer Rehabilitation in Syria”
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is issuing a challenge on the Innocentive platform seeking implementation-ready technologies that can map underground water, sewerage, telecommunications and electrical networks in Syria.
The challenge is looking for commercially available technologies, adaptations, novel combinations or other innovative approaches that can help infrastructure teams identify underground utilities before rehabilitation work begins. Solutions should reduce accidental utility damage, improve project planning and create more reliable digital records of underground infrastructure.
Submissions should demonstrate the solution’s accuracy, deployment approach and potential for integration into long-term digital infrastructure management systems.
