BIM Sustainability Integration: Enhancing Global Health Infrastructure with Autodesk Solutions and Sustainability Metrics

This project will help Build Health International (BHI) to expand upon workflows between the integrated architectural, engineering and project management teams with a specific focus on developing sustainability metrics within BIM management.

Project Overview

Project Description

This project will help Build Health International (BHI) to expand upon workflows between the integrated architectural, engineering and project management teams with a specific focus on developing sustainability metrics within BIM management.

The fellow will help to analyze existing processes that BHI currently utilizes within the Autodesk Software Portfolio including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit and other BIM platforms. Working with the BIM Manager and BHI team, the project will be focused on creating workflows and identifying how and what type of information can be collected to demonstrate BHI’s impact on the environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and study one or two case studies selected by the BHI team to:
  • Understand what sustainability metrics that may already exist within BHI’s Revit models
  • Develop model analysis workflows, sustainability KPIs and insights, and sustainability frameworks,
  • Identify what workflows can be utilized to generate analytics for past and future projects of similar scope.

Impact

Build Health International designs, builds and equips high-quality health infrastructure in some of the world’s most challenging settings. Over the last 10 years, BHI has developed unique design and build solutions to provide facilities that are sustainable for the environment and communities around the world.

The E4C Fellow will help enhance continued development of a system to improve BHI’s cross-platform integration and data transfer with a sustainability lens that impacts its global design and build projects.
