The Efficiency for Access Design Challenge Grand Final will take place on World Refrigeration Day, celebrating student-led innovation in off-grid appliance design. This year’s theme, Enduring Impact, reflects both the long-term influence of the Challenge on participants’ careers and the growing importance of sustainable cooling technologies.
The event will feature a keynote from Leo Blyth, Senior Energy Consultant at The World Bank, who will share insights from his journey as a student innovator and lessons from deploying appliances in East Africa. A panel of Challenge alumni will discuss how the competition shaped their paths in the clean energy sector.
The Grand Final will also include the annual prizegiving, recognizing outstanding entries with Bronze, Silver, Gold, and People’s Prize awards.
