I have working with 3D-printing for quite some years now and am always on the outlook for ways how this technology can contribute to solving problems like the ones you are mentioning in your article. As much as I love the idea of this being a perfect match I am a bit doubtful that producing wind generators with 3D-printing will be affordable. It would be great to get more information and potentially build prototypes to see the cost/output dimension. Also the hydroplant sounds compelling. Please share more if you have more information!
