Target users are people who have lost their homes from a disaster or seeking refuge from conflict, or medical teams working in this context. The Life Cube is also being marketed for military, camping, and special event applications.
Units are produced to order. The 5 x 5′ shipping container transforms into the floor of the tent to offer a hard, raised platform from the ground. It is made of ABS plastic and can be airdropped from an airplane, or placed on a standard trailer or bed of a pickup truck.

Users can purchase directly from Life Cube or organizations can obtain the tents from Life Cube to distribute in post-disaster and refugee camp situations.

The material is made from 1000 denier air-retention fabrics that are laser cut, and all seams are RF welded. Before shipping, all units undergo full pressure inflation testing.
The canopy is made out of urethane-coated nylon that is waterproof and MSHA-rated fire retardant.

Life Cube offers instructions for how to patch the fabric and a one year limited warranty on all components.
Manufacturer specified performance targets include durability, off-grid functionality, portability, and programmatic flexibility.
Life Cube claims that the product has undergone testing, however the reports and testing organizations are not published.

The Life Cube has an integrated power system that is powered by solar panels on the roof.
The Life Cube is evaluated for wind and water resistance, fire resistance of materials, and pressure inflation testing of the tube structure.
