The Montals F2-m Biogas Stove is a single-burner, sheet metal stove, which can be used with both biogas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This product is manufactured by Montals Engineering located in Kumasi, Ghana. This product is discontinued.

The dimensions of the stove are 560 mm x 560 mm x 360 mm with a weight of 10.1 kg. Assembly can be done locally, requiring only a spanner and screw driver after initial manufacturing in Ghana.

Designer specified performance targets include the reduction of carbon monoxide emissions (PPM) and high thermal efficiency.

Vetted Performance Status

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Ghana verified the following: thermal efficiency, emissions (including carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and particulate matter), energy consumption rate, and firepower.

Complementary Technical Systems

Montals Engineering's product line also includes the Munt G1 three burner biogas stove and a two burner biogas stove. Other technical systems to be used with the stove include varying types of biodigesters and scrubbing systems.
