Almhar was designed to help refugees cope with emotional problems while living in exile.

The application offers insights on 12 of the most common motifs for psychological difficulties and it aims to help the user understand how the body and mind work. For each of the 12 symptoms the app explains its causes and provides tips on how to deal with them.

The user may be part of a research study focused on understanding the effectiveness of the app. If and when the user wants, it is possible to participate by answering the questions through the app. The data gathered are anonymized. The app will function regardless of the participation in the study.

Almhar does not aim to replace psychotherapy.
