The Kingo Light consists of a polycrystalline solar panel for generation, a NCA lithium ion battery for storage and 3 LED bulbs. Specifications:

A survey conducted by PROPARCO, one of Kingo's investors, identified that the product is helping families to improve their savings and education. A mother interviewed in a community located Caserio El Limon, Guatemala, said that with Kingo's PAYGO system her family is saving 25% on monthly expenses and has 5 hours of light at night per day, allowing her children to study at night.


If pressure is applied on the photovoltaic panel by sitting or stepping on it, the device might break and cause bodily injury or electrical shock. Precaution must be taken regarding electrical contacts or wiring, the person handling them must use adequate safety gear. To avoid electrical shock, the photovoltaic panel must be earth grounded. A minor risk of burns exists due to the heating of the photovoltaic panel's surface by the sun.
