Loop launched 15 scooters on May 18, 2017 with an additional 60 in the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Design Specifications
Loop scooters are equipped with a battery that can last up to 50 Km with a maximum speed of 50 Km/hour, and are capable of climbing moderate hills without sacrificing the top speed. They are also equipped with telematics technology, GPS, and a GSM 7" digital dashboard. To access scooters users must do the following:

Safety
Users must attend an introductory class through which they learn the controls of the scooter, dashboard and scooter dynamics. Through this course they are introduced to basic skills such as balance and braking and more advanced riding techniques such as lane positioning and collision avoidance. After the class the users go for a small test drive under the supervision of an instructor. More safety precautions are available in this rider manual. Users must have a driver's license (not necessarily a motorcycle license) and are required to wear the helmets provided at all times during the ride.
