The Star 8 Luxury Trike is a three wheeled motorized vehicle commonly used as a taxi. It is propelled by an electric motor that is powered from a battery pack. The battery pack is charged by connecting the vehicle to conventional power means. The solar array on the roof acts as a supplementary power source, extending the range of the vehicle. It is distributed by Star 8 through a number of local distributors in different countries. The product is currently commercialized.

Specifications; The Star 8 Luxury Trike is powered by a 7.5 kw traction motor and stores its energy in 6 100 Ah Lead Acid batteries. Its top speed is 48 kph and it has a range of up to 100 km. Its approximate charging time is 10 hours and it can carry up to 11 people.
