Design Specifications
The toilet is self-contained, made of plastic, and has three chambers for different stages in the composting process (composting chamber, evaporation chamber, finishing chamber). A manually driven drum rotates the chambers and mixes the compost material. The toilet is made for use by two adults or families of three in permanent housing. Aerobic breakdown is used in the composting process. The 3-chambered drum is patented by Sun-Mar and can be moved with a handle. The compost is manually emptied by the user.
