ALIMCO’s Behind the Ear Hearing Aid is a cordless, skin-colored digital hearing aid suitable for those with moderate to severe hearing loss. Manufactured and distributed in India, the hearing aids are intended to be affordable for underserved populations.
India, although ALIMCO has exported its products to countries including Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, UAE, Jordan, Iraq, Angola, Cambodia, and Uzbekistan.
Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), along with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Programme for Prevention of and Control of Deafness, the National Health Mission Manipur, and many other dealers throughout India.
The Assistance for Disabled Persons (ADIP) scheme exists for purchase and fitting of aids and appliances. Those cost up to Rs 6000 and are distributed free of cost to the disabled with a monthly of less than 90 USD (6500 INR).
