The Micro-Sizer is a crushing machine for glass recycling.
The Micro-Sizer is glass cullet production equipment. Micro-Sizer crushes glass into powdery glass cullet and has been adopted by various organizations including glass cullet manufacturers and local governments both in Japan and the United States. Separation of other materials is not required with Micro-Sizer. For instance, caps and labels do not have to be removed from glass bottles before they are crushed. Liquid, a smell of alcohol, sugar and salt content are also eliminated during the crushing process. Glass cullet comes in different sizes between 0.05mm and 5.00mm.
The produced glass cullet by Micro-Sizer can be used in the following applications: (1) sand-like product as an alternative to natural sand for beach areas suffering from coastal erosion; (2) auxiliary material mixed with cement for concrete construction (i.e. graphite); (3) material mixed with asphalt for road construction; (4) material to improve clay soil; (5) purifying material for hydroponics; (6) floor material for walking road in golf course; (7) material mixed with paint coating for fluorescent display for road traffic; (8) material for bricks, ceramics and blocks.
This product is distributed in Japan and the United States, however further distribution is planned for emerging markets and developing countries.

Design Specifications
The area required for installation is 4 m x 6m. The Micro-Sizer has 11 rotors that operate at a rotation speed of 1800 rpm.It has a gross weight of 2000 Kg and air input of 50 m2/m, producing noise less than 85 Decibel. The diameter of the rotor is 610 mm, the belt size is 2000 mm and has an IN-let size of 170 mm.The material of the internal part is more wear-resistant than iron and aluminum. This special material is long-lasting and therefore reduces the operating cost in a longer perspective. In terms of volume, Micro-Sizer can produce about 2 ton of glass cullet per hour. Micro-Sizer can crush glass (i.e. glass bottles) into glass cullet (size is between 0.05mm and 5.00mm) by separating impurities such as caps and labels. Also, Micro-Sizer can eliminate liquid, smell of alchol, sugar and salt content during the crushing process.
