​ROAMfilter Lite is a light and portable water filtration kit. The product filters water through a gravity-fed ceramic membrane, with the ability to remove 6 log bacteria and 4 log. The product is manufactured and distributed by WateROAM.

From November 2018 the product has been discontinued.

Design Specifications

The ROAMfilter Lite is lightweight plastic bag primed internally with a membrane. The ceramic filter membrane has a pore size of 0.5?m. The system weighs 400g, with a membrane area of 0.025m2. The filter is functional in the pH range of 4-10, and operating pressure  between 0.005 - 0.03 bar. The filter is made out of Alumina Silicate and is 0.5?m and weighs 300 g, with an attached tube tap of 100g.

    throughout their entire lifecycle. No
    mention of this requirement is made in the product specifications. Appropriate retirement and recycling in
    developing countries is required.
