Product Description

The WateROAM ROAMfilter Ultra System uses a submersible electronic pump and a .02μm pore size filter to effectively remove bacteria and viruses  99.9999% at a rate of 1500 L/hr.  The product has been distributed and implemented across 44 countries since 2015, with further plans for global expansion.

Design Specifications

The ROAMfilter Ultra System filters 800 L/hr using hollow-fiber technologies with a pore size of 0.02 micron, and surface area of 480m2. The product can be gravity fed, requiring no electricity, or powered by a 400W submersible pump. The weight of the system is 45kg.

Manufacturer Specified Performance Parameters

The ROAMfilter Ultra System is designed to filter up to 1500 L/hr removing sand, sediments, 99.9999% bacteria and 99.99% viruses.

Vetted Performance Status

Testing by Setsco determined a 6 log coliform reduction.


WateROAM’s products are not designed to remove compounds affecting taste such as soluble, chemicals and heavy metals.

The product complies with WHO safe drinking water guidelines as determined by testing by Setsco.

Evaluation methods

The manufacturer cites Coloiform reduction of 7 log as evaluation criteria, and 4 log bacteria. The product has been evaluated by third-party testing organization Setsco, using APHA 9222B evaluation.
