How often/when should maintenance be performed?
The Aqus filters comprise one filter, one adapter and one filter cleaning syringe. The Aqus filter can treat down to 0.01 micron size with bacteria removal up to log scale 6. The design and installation are simple, doesn’t require any electricity and has no moving parts. A video on it’s working is available.
The filter weighs 46.4 g. Different parts included in bucket kit and faucet kit are available in the tech specifications.
Filter replacements are available from the manufacturer.
The Aqus filters do not keep out heavy metals, VOCs or chemicals.
Water from the Aqusafe filter is tested and certified in laboratories
It is recommended to soak the filter occasionally in a water bleach solution to prevent potential bacterial growth.

The water treated by the product has been evaluated for biological contamination by US and Ghana accreditated laboratories.
