VF 100 Village Bucket Filter is a hollow fiber membrane filter that attaches to a bucket of water.
VF 100 Village Bucket Filter Kit has a 0.1-micron hollow membrane filter which removes bacteria, virus and protozoa. The filter kit assembly is simple and can be used with any plastic basket or plastic bottle.

The 0.1 micron absolute filter removes bacteria, protozoa and cysts. The product is designed to be simple with easy maintenance. It can be used with any plastic bucket or plastic bottle or even attached to a spigot with hose threads.
Life of the filter is dependent on the turbidity of water and degree of operation maintenance. Use of a prefilter will extend its life.
The manufacturer aims to design simple and easy-to-use filters. However, the filter is not designed to remove dissolved solids, including chemicals and heavy metals.
VF 100 VIllage Bucket Filter has been tested in laboratory and field.
Regular cleaning and operational maintenance is necessary for optimal functional and life span of the product.

The filter removes bacteria and protozoa to meet the EPA water standards
The water filtered through the product is evaluated in a laboratory for biological contamination: enterovirus, protozoa (Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts) and bacteria (Raoultella terrigena and HPC).
The product is also evaluated in HIF Emergency Household Water Filter Challenge on the basis of ease of use, performance in different scenarios and logistics.
