The Nano Ganesh is a wireless automation system that allows farmers to use mobile phones to remotely control irrigation pumps located in hazardous areas. The farmers need a mobile connection and a mobile modem that will be attached to the starter of the pump set. After registration, the subscriber will be provided a unique code number. Using a mobile phone, the user can remotely switch on and off the pump set with the assigned code number.

This product was developed by Ossian Agro Automation in Pune, India.

Design Specifications

Nano Ganesh is a GSM mobile-based remote control system exclusively for the use with water pump sets in agriculture areas. A Nano Ganesh Modem is connected to the existing starter. The user has to dial a number dedicated for a Nano Ganesh set and then punch his on or off code for the control of the pump set. It can be connected to any existing electrical starter and motor pumps. Hence, there is no necessity of replacing the pumping set. For higher H.P pumps, it can be connected along with the protection systems. Technical Specifications of the Nano Ganesh Modem:

  • Operating Mains Voltage: 230/415 V, 50 Hz AC2
  • Additional D.C. Voltage source: 6 V, 4.5 AH battery which will be charged from the unit itself
  • GSM operating frequency: 900/1800 MHz4
  • GSM operating Power: 1 to 2 Watts at the time of radiations
  • Standby current consumption: 15 mA
  • Current Consumption at the time of SMS or CALL: 2 Amp peak
  • Output Control: An active Auto control phase of 230/415 V, when PUMP ON relay is energized
  • Output Control contacts: 5 Amp capacity at 230/415 V
